Summer Memories

When I was a little girl and my mother was a little girl my grandmother would go to the fields just outside of town and pick wild strawberries. She would bring them home and make jam with them. I will always remember that taste. It was fresh and sweet and it has been a long time since I have tasted a strawberry with such intense flavour.
I have my grandmother's recipe and the market where we buy all of our fresh fruits and vegetables from is selling strawberries at the moment. I guess I need to get some jars and get busy. Hope you have some wonderful summer memories too.
I made this card as I was thinking about how nice it would be to have homemade jam with my scones or toast. Have a great day!

Love Always,
Kim

It's funny how food brings such sweet memories of dear family members, from our childhood. Thanks for your sweet and kind visit. I am following you now, to have more contact with your posts. 3. Jam and fresh scones. A friends Granny used to make scones, no recipe needed. What a treat and a warm memory.
