A Relaxing Day

I have had a very relaxing day. It is very cold outside, so I have been content to be inside where it is warm and cozy. My favourite chair sits by the living room window. The sun shone all day long. It was so comforting to see after so many grey days. Our seven kittens turned seven weeks old on Friday night. They are funny little balls of fur with lots of energy and they love to play. When they get tired some of them cuddle up with me on the ottoman.
I found this picture today while I was browsing. If I could order a bedroom this might be the one. I am going to be dreaming about this bedroom tonight. Sweet dreams to you.

Thoughts of Spring

We have just had the coldest day recorded so far this winter. It was -26 degrees Celsius. I am trying to think of spring and all of the beautiful flowers we will see shortly. I am looking forward to seeing the crocuses peaking out from under the last bits of snow and the daffodils with their sunny faces. My favourite little flowers in the spring are Muscari or Purple Hyacinths. I love tulips as well, especially the pink ones. Enjoy this lovely picture of cherry blossoms and have a wonderful day.

When will it stop

It has been snowing here all day. It was snowing last night. It is still snowing. They took the plows off of the roads. The kids had a snow day and a few businesses were closed because people could not get in to town. Hubby shoveled the driveway this morning but I am afraid that it is a loosing battle. We opened the front door to see how the main street looked and in blew snow all of the mat. We always get snow here in Bruce County but this year I think that we got more than our share and the winter isn't over yet. Keep warm and safe.

Wishing

It is very cold and snowy here. It has been that way for some time. I am wishing today that I was somewhere warm. The best place would be in my own backyard. This table looks perfect to me; beautiful blue and white. It is nice to dream. Have a wonderful day.

Pink from Head to Toe

My Dad just sent me a few pictures and I thought I would share one of them with you today. This is me when I was just a toddler. Once a pink girl always a pink girl. Don't you just love the shades. I opened the email from my Dad and I had to giggle.
It is a very grey and slushy day here so I think I will wear my pink, put on my shades and just be me. Have a great day!

My Dream Dining Room

I came across this picture and I knew this is what I wanted. I think this is gorgeous and I will be trying to make my dining room look as close to this a possible. I have a lot of painting to do and it will take my some time to complete this project. This is the vision.

A Pink Holiday

Would you like to come on a little pink holiday with me? I love to travel. I thought I would visit some beautiful pink Victorian homes on  the eastern seaboard. Our first stop is Lake City, Florida. The Henderson House was built in 1891 and it has Queen Anne architecture. I love this pale pink colour and the porches are perfect for a cup of tea.

Our next stop is Savannah, Georgia and this gingerbread house was built in 1891. It has Queen Anne architecture. The porches on the front of this house are very secluded.

We are off to Kennebunk, Maine and the "Little House". It was built in 1875 and the architecture is Second Empire. The Carriage House is tucked to the right of the main house under the trees.

We are going to Portsmouth, New Hampshire now to visit the Webster House that was built in 1880. It has Italeante architecture. We would probably have a fantastic view from the top of this tower.

This house is called Roseland. It sits in Woodstock, Connecticut. It was built in 1846 and it is Gothic Revival architecture. This would be a great house to decorate for Halloween.

This lovely pink house sits on Perry Street in Cape May, New Jersey. It looks as if it just got a fresh coat of paint.

We finish our trip in Wellsview, New York. This spectacular Victorian has beautiful flower gardens. I see my spot on the round front porch to the left of the doorway. I think that we can smell the flowers from there.

Thank you for coming with me on this wonderful trip and we didn't even have to leave our favourite chair. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Love Always
Kim
